If your computer is currently running Windows 11 Version 21H2, it will no longer be supported after October 2024. To ensure your computer stays secure and up-to-date, we need you to upgrade to Version 23H2.
Important Dates:
- Friday, July 26th: If you still need to upgrade by this date, the upgrade will happen automatically.
How to Upgrade Early:
- Open Software Center
- Click on the Start menu (bottom left of your screen) and type “Software Center.”
- Click on the Software Center app to open it.
- Go to the Updates Section
- Once Software Center is open, look for the “Updates” section in the left-hand menu and click on it.

- Start the Upgrade
- Find “COM-OS-Windows 11 Education-Upgrade-23H2” in the list.
- Click on it, then click the “Upgrade” or “Install” button.
Tips for a Smooth Upgrade:
- Keep Your Computer Plugged In: This ensures no power issues during the Upgrade.
- Work During the Upgrade: You can continue working while the Upgrade progresses. Your computer will automatically restart to complete the Upgrade.
- Plan for About 1-2 Hours: The Upgrade typically takes one to two hours.
- Start the Upgrade at the End of the Day: You can start the Upgrade when you’re done for the day and leave your computer on overnight.
- If You’re Working from Home, connect to VPN: Ensure your computer is connected to the VPN. Keep it connected until you see the upgrade option in the updates section.

- Backup Your Data: The upgrade process is designed to be safe, but we recommend backing up your important files just in case.
