Alteryx is a program that uses AI to improve analysis. Some examples of its specific uses are summarizing reports, documenting analytic processes, and integrating generative AI into data pipelines.

Below are instructions on how to access Alteryx on VCL:
1. Go to VCL.
2. Click on the red “Make a Reservation” button.
3. If you are not logged in already, click the “Proceed to Login” button.
4. Sign in with your NCSU account (if a pop-up appears asking to allow notifications, you can block them).
5. Click on the “New Reservation” button.
6. Click the dropdown menu until you see the “PCOM-Lab (AVD)” option.
7. Select that option and click on the “Connect”.
8. A pop-up box will appear showing instructions on how to connect to PCOM-Lab in AVD. Click on the computer icon with the name “PCOM-Lab” below it.
9. You will be asked to sign in if you still need to be signed into AVD. Please do so with your NCSU account.
10. Once in AVD, you will see at least one computer icon. Click on the one with the name “PCOM-Lab”.
11. You may have to wait a few minutes for PCOM-Lab to set up. Afterward, you will be asked to sign in again. Please do so with your NCSU account.
12. You should be connected. Once you are signed in and the machine fully loads, you should be able to see an icon for “Alteryx” on the desktop.
