Microsoft Office 365Updated August 23, 2024Microsoft Office 365 provides users with multiple apps to work with. Some examples of these apps are Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Below are instructions on how to get your copy of Office 365: 1. Go to office365.ncsu.edu. 2. Sign in with your UnityID and password 3. On the right side of the homepage, click “Install Apps”. 4. Click “Microsoft 365 Apps” from the dropdown menu. This will put the installer on your computer. 5. Open the installer and follow the steps in the window to download it. 6. After downloading the apps, you should be able to open any of them on your computer and start using them. You may have to accept a license agreement or log in. 7. If you are asked to log in, be sure to use your NCSU email account and the password that goes with your UnityID. *Note: You can install Office apps up to 10 devices. 5 of those spots can be on a PC or Mac. The other 5 spots can be on a smartphone or tablet. To know how to install Office on your mobile device, click on this link Below are instructions on how to use Office 365 on the browser: 1. Go to office365.ncsu.edu. 2. Sign in with your UnityID and password. 3. If prompted with a Duo push, accept it. 4. From here, click “Apps” on the sidebar on the left-hand side of the screen. 5. If you’re looking for other apps, click on the “All Apps” link under the first row of apps on the “Apps” page. 6. Open the app you want to use and get started. 7. You have 1TB (1000 GB) of OneDrive storage. The documents created online will be stored online. Below are instructions on how to uninstall Office on Windows: 1. Type “remove program” or “uninstall” in your Windows search. 2. You will see a “Add or remove programs” option. Please click on it. 3. You will be presented with a list of apps in your laptop. Look for the “search this list” search box located above the list of apps. Please type in “office.” 4. You should now only see the “office” app. If there are more than one, look for the office app that has a white hollow square inside an orange-filled square. Click on the Office app and then click uninstall. 5. Please follow the prompts that pop up for uninstalling Office. 6. After uninstalling Office, you can reinstall Office from Office.com Below are instructions on how to uninstall Office on Mac: 1. Go to the Finder app. 2. Click on the Applications Tab. 3. On the search box, type in “Office.” 4. If there are more than one, look for the office app that has a white hollow square inside an orange-filled square. Right click on the Office app and select the “move to trash” option. 5. Go to Mac’s trash bin and right click on it. Select the “empty trash” option, and you will have successfully uninstalled Office. 6.
