VCL

NOTE:

Students who need to use UiPath or Alteryx must select PCOM Analytics (AVD) VCL environment for access to these applications.

Any users needing access to IBM SPSS Statistics & SPSS Amos, MatLab, SAS 9.4 or JMP will need to specifically select and reserve the NCSU (AVD) environment.

How to access:

Here is how you can access PCOM Lab applications on our VCL environment:

  1.  Go to vcl.ncsu.edu and click on the Log in option at the top.
  2.  Make sure NCSU Login is selected from the dropdown list and click on “Proceed to Login“
  3.  Enter your Unity ID and password to authenticate. You will be redirected to the NCSU VCL homepage
  4. Select the Reservations options from the menu at the top of the page
  5.  Click on New Reservations and select PCOM-Lab (AVD) from the dropdown list; as seen below. Next, click Connect to proceed.
  6.  The following window will appear. Click on Open the AVD Portal.
  7. Click on the PCOM-Lab icon that is shown in the window.
  8. Click Allow for the option to allow Access to Local Resources.
  9. Finally, enter your Unity password to sign in.
    • After following those instructions in step 9, you will be automatically logged into a Windows VM environment from your browser. Click on the Windows Start button in the bottom left corner and scroll through the applications menu to find your application.
